Model introduction:
Between the 3rd-24th March 2016 there will be a referendum held in New Zealand as to whether we should officially change the flag. A referendum is when the public (over 18) are asked to vote on a question from the government about our nation. The public will be deciding between the current NZ flag and the Silver Fern Flag.
New zealand has an unique flag history.NZ is a british conile and IN 1830 a kiwi called the Sir George murray arrived in sydney harbour She was carrying flax and timber,But missing something important: a flag to say where she came from and she had to go to jail.It is thorgut to belive that Nz copyed australia's flag.
Keeping NZ’s current flag is the peoples of our nation's decisions. Our soldiers have fort in the army with the southern star, union jack flag and it was changed 3 time already why make it 4?The NZ flag is nice how it is why did one day the national party and john key decided to change the flag,Is it for more tourist and see how beautiful new zealand is or for other countries can know tell the difference from nz,Australia. It cost nz 23 million dollars which could feed the whole of nz and put a lot of people in to nice homes.
changing the flag will make new zealand stand out more so other countries know which one is new zealand. We should also change the flag because some people actually think that that our flag has a silver fern so if we change the flag the whole world will know it’s us.
In the end it’s your vote so if you want to change the New Zealand flag or if you want to stick to the good old southern star blue flag keep it because it your choice,What side are you on.
